As an intimacy director, Jamie is well-versed in staging moments of physical and emotional closeness (such as kisses, "first times", outer/intercourse) in ways that are consent-based, sustainable, and tell a compelling story. Jamie specializes in working with young and emerging actors, helping them build tools of self-advocacy, confidence, and body awareness both onstage and in life.
Jamie has choreographed moments of intimacy for professional companies, colleges, and youth theaters. Combining her training with Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE), Intimacy Directors International (IDI), anti-racism and trauma-informed practices, Jamie has developed a process that supports actors and design teams in bringing stories to life. |
